Privacy & Cookie Notice

Effective date: 2 August 2026.

This notice explains what information Oshibori Towel collects when you visit oshiboritowel.com, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We sell to customers in the United States.

Information you give us

• Name, email address, and phone number where a form asks for them.
• Business or organization details for wholesale, hospitality, and custom quotes.
• The content of messages and inquiries you send us.
• Logo or design files you upload when you request a custom branded preview.
• Product, order, and shipping information needed to fulfill a purchase.

Payments

Checkout and payment details are handled by Shopify and the payment providers made available at checkout. This storefront application does not intentionally store full payment card numbers.

Information collected automatically

• IP address and the general location it suggests.
• Browser type, device type, and similar technical details.
• The page or source that referred you to the site.
• Pages viewed, basic interactions, and ecommerce events such as adding an item to the cart, collected through Google Analytics.
• Cart and session identifiers held in your browser local storage.

How we use information

• Operating the cart and checkout.
• Fulfilling and shipping orders.
• Responding to inquiries and messages.
• Preparing custom previews and quotes.
• Security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding aggregate site performance.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers. Each processes information under its own terms and privacy policies, as applicable.

• Shopify for commerce and checkout. Shopify privacy policy
• Supabase for form handling, custom preview processing, and cloud functions. Supabase privacy policy
• Google Analytics for site analytics. Google privacy policy
• Yotpo for product reviews. Yotpo privacy policy
• Hosting, email delivery, and security providers that keep the site online and let us reply to you.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Cookies and similar storage

• shopify-cart (local storage). Necessary. Holds your cart contents, cart ID, and checkout URL. It persists until cleared or expired by the application or your browser.
• _ga and _ga_<container-id> (first-party cookies). Google Analytics uses these to distinguish visitors and sessions. Their default duration is up to two years unless you delete them or analytics is disabled.
• osh_analytics_opt_out (local storage). Stores your analytics opt-out choice until you clear it.
• Yotpo review widgets on product pages may use cookies or similar storage.
• Checkout runs on Shopify infrastructure and may use necessary checkout and security cookies.
• Blocking cookies or local storage in your browser may affect the cart or checkout.

Online tracking and Do Not Track

There is no uniform standard for Do Not Track signals, and this site does not currently respond to them. Third-party services described above may still collect activity as disclosed here. We do not intentionally use the analytics data described in this notice for targeted advertising.

Your choices

You can turn site analytics off below. The setting is stored in your browser, so it applies to this browser and device.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage, or email us with a question or request.

Access, correction, and deletion

You may email us to request access to the information we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. We will do our best to help, subject to legal and operational retention needs.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to run the store, fulfill and support orders, answer inquiries, and meet record-keeping obligations. After that we delete it or keep it in aggregate form.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we handle, including encrypted connections and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

Updates to this notice

We may update this notice as the site or our providers change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
