Oshibori towel tradition

    About Oshibori Towel

    Our Story

    Where It Began

In Japan, centuries ago, travellers stopping at tea houses were greeted with a warm, damp cloth. It was a quiet act of care. A way to say: rest here, you are welcome. That cloth was called an oshibori.

The practice has survived across generations and continents. It remains one of the most honest gestures of hospitality in the world. Simple, tactile, human.

At Oshibori Towel, we took that tradition and gave it the materials it deserves. Organic cotton. Considered fragrance. Packaging that respects what is inside. The result is something old made new, without losing what made it meaningful.

    Our Values

    What Guides Us

    Touch

The weight of good cotton against skin. Soft without being flimsy, substantial without being heavy. You notice it the moment you unfold one.

    Scent

Gentle enough to go unnoticed if you are not paying attention. Present enough to stay with you if you are. We keep our fragrances quiet and intentional.

    Sight

From the texture of the towel to the packaging it arrives in, every detail is considered. Nothing decorative for the sake of it. Just clean, honest design.

    Quality & Safety

    Certifications

100% biodegradable cotton. Fully recyclable mono-material packaging. Formulated with 99.7% water and 0.3% fragrance. Phototoxicity certified, dermatologically tested, produced in an Ecovadis Gold and ISO 22716 GMP certified facility.
